Our Philosophy

Desert Winds specializes in quality woodwind and brass repair for musicians of all levels from student to professional. We feel that everyone deserves an instrument in proper working order -- a student needs a good, quality instrument just as much or more than a professional musician does.

All used instruments that we sell are thoroughly checked by our technicians and any needed repairs performed before our customers see them. We are so confident in the quality of our repairs that we offer at least a 12-month warranty with each used instrument. We also offer free renewable maintenance contracts with our woodwind re-pads as well.

We do so much more than "just make it grunt". We have the tools, skill, and knowledge to make your instrument play better than it did the day you first pulled it out of the case. What's more important, once we fix your instrument, it stays that way (unless it gets damaged).

We work on most woodwind and brass instruments, but we specialize in the instruments that are headaches for most other repair shops -- piccolos, handmade flutes, oboes, English horns, bassoons and contrabassoons, saxophones (especially soprano and baritone), and all clarinets, from Eb to contrabass.
