Includes the following:

• Complete disassembly

• Ultrasonicly clean keys & screws

• Re-cork keys using synthetic cork where appropriate & natural cork elsewhere

• Re-cork neck using natural or if necessary synthetic cork

• Inspect tone holes - re-face, de-burr and hand polish

• Re-fit keys as necessary

• Drill, tap and install adjusting screws for upper & lower stacks

• Install bull nosed neoprene tips to G#\bis\low C# adjusters

• Re-pad using the highest quality imported leather pads

• Install your choice of domed plastic resonators or "Star Boosters" (also called Comeaux or Hollywood)

• Treat pads with a hand rubbed silicone gel water repellant to minimize pad changes  and leather hardening due to moisture and humidity.

• Install pads using a medium high temperature hot melt adhesive. Adhesive is applied generously so the pad may be "floated" level to the tone hole using a minimal crease. This technique allows who ever repairs this instrument latter to re-float the pad to compensate for hardening of the felt later or distortion of the felt caused by by moisture & humidity.

• Install neoprene body bumpers under lower joint left F-C and E-B

• Refit metal connecting pins on lower joint left E-B and F#-C# levers and Install Teflon  tubing over pins as a silencer. (N/A if instrument has plastic connecting pins)

• Adjust lube & play test

BASS & CONTRA BASS SAXOPHONE

Due to the size, variety of mechanical design and propensity for damage, estimating any work on a bass or contra bass sax is difficult at best. Experience tells us that prices will start at $1500.00 for a mechanical re-build plus cost of supplies (often largest pads must be custom made & special ordered) plus time at $60.00 per hour to repair damage.
